Soup with meatballs and noodles for children. Soup with meatballs and noodles for children Soup with meatballs for kids

Children have a unique diet, not the same as adults. Their diet should not contain spicy seasonings, food should not be fried or fatty. All this negatively affects the still fragile children's stomach.

Dishes intended for baby food must certainly be stewed, boiled, baked in the oven, or steamed or. This is especially true for those children for whom dietary nutrition is recommended.

However, this does not mean that such food is monotonous and tasteless. Quite the contrary, it is appetizing and very healthy. In dishes prepared using one of the above methods, all the vitamins and nutrients necessary for the child are preserved.

In addition, if you prepare children's soup correctly or bake meat in the oven, believe me, they are somewhat on par with fried foods. And the children's soup with meatballs is simply delicious. It is prepared quite simply and quickly.

Meatball soup is suitable for children over 1.5 years old

To prepare it you will need the following products:

  • minced young beef or lean pork - 250 g
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • potatoes - 2 pcs.
  • dill greens

Children's soup with meatballs - recipe with photo:

To obtain minced meat, pass the pulp of young beef or pork through a meat grinder with a fine grid 2 times. For mothers like me, who have meat or minced meat prepared for future use, as they say, and are in the freezer, it is necessary to defrost it before cooking.
Finely chop the onion.

Leave half for minced meat, pour the other half into a pan of boiling water.

Add onion, salt to the minced meat and break one egg. Mix everything well.

From the minced meat we form round meatballs for the soup.

Place the meatballs in the pan and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, while the meatballs are cooking, cut the potatoes into small square pieces.

Cut the carrots into strips.

Add the vegetables one by one to the pan with the meatballs and cook the soup until tender.

At the very end of cooking, add a spoonful of olive oil and dill.

The step-by-step introduction of complementary foods into the baby’s menu implies a mandatory introduction to meat puree. This product, rich in proteins and fats, is necessary for the full growth of the baby. In addition, it contains a lot of vitamins and easily digestible iron. Gradually, meat products become more varied, and the child’s chewing skills develop. By 8 months, you can prepare baby meatballs and soups with these delicious products. At the same time, do not forget about the rules for preparing children's dishes, because the baby is not yet ready to accept “adult” food.

There are established provisions for the preparation of children's dishes, which a young mother must adhere to in order to safely feed the baby and preserve the beneficial properties of its components:

  • Meat dishes are introduced into the diet of children from 8 months of age, but in special cases, incl. if hemoglobin is low, the pediatrician may recommend meat puree as a second complementary food.
  • The amount of healthy food depends on age and does not exceed 70 grams by 12 months.

Fish meatballs are given to children no earlier than 10 months, also taking into account the allergenicity and fat content of each type. River fish is considered more allergenic than sea fish.

  • For children prone to allergies, egg whites are not added. Flour, semolina and other products with gluten are also not used.
  • Children's soup, like other dishes for children, must be freshly prepared. They cannot be stored or reheated.

Choosing the ingredients.

Vegetables. Vegetable additives already familiar to the baby are used. Safe ingredients will be zucchini. Such ingredients are rich in vegetable protein and contain dietary fiber necessary for normal intestinal function. Pumpkin, carrots, potatoes are introduced later. You can make a bright assorted vegetable dish for your baby with the addition of meatballs. Vegetable broths are considered safe, but may cause increased gas formation.

We carefully choose the type of meat. It is important to remember that rabbit and turkey, veal are the best option for kids. Chicken is more likely to cause allergic reactions. Pork can put excessive strain on a child’s gastrointestinal tract. Ground beef is classified as refractory, since its fatty acids are difficult for infants to digest.

Cereals and pasta. Choose from among already familiar species. Rice and semolina go well with chicken meatballs. Pasta and noodles go well with beef and pork products.

Be especially careful when choosing cereals for children with celiac disease.

Spices and salt. These products are added to children's menus as they grow older, taking into account the child's tendency to allergic reactions. It is recommended to use seasonings that correspond to family traditions for no earlier than 2 years.

Cooking Rules

Before preparing a baby dish, it is useful for a young mother to familiarize herself with some of the features of preparing dishes with meatballs for babies up to one year old:

  • It is better to make meatballs from a whole piece of meat, rather than from store-bought minced meat. The meat is pre-soaked. Such actions will reduce the concentration of extractives. Then the meat is thoroughly cleaned of films, cut into pieces and passed through a meat grinder several times.
  • How long to cook the product depends on the type of meat. Semi-finished chicken products, rabbit or turkey products - about 25 minutes. Beef meatballs - 30 minutes. Veal - 20 minutes. Pork - 25 minutes.
  • Meatballs can be cooked in a double boiler for second courses. Cooking time: 40 minutes. A tasty and tender option - meatballs with gravy and side dish will definitely please your child. You can also cook healthy children's soup in a slow cooker.

Meat and fish broths are given no earlier than 2 years. Frying is also not used in children's nutrition. It’s especially not worth frying the meatballs themselves.

  • Meatball soup for a child under 1 year old is prepared in second water. Meat products are placed in boiling water and boiled for about 5 minutes. Then the broth is drained and the pan is filled with a new portion of water, brought to a boil, the meatballs are reinserted and cooked until tender along with the other ingredients.
  • Meatballs for baby food can be frozen raw. To do this, place the balls on a cutting board and place them in the freezer for several hours. After freezing, distribute into single serving bags for easy storage and subsequent defrosting.

Children under one year old are given salt in the amount of 0.2 g per day.

  • Timely collection of foam on the surface of the liquid will make the dish transparent.
  • To prevent the minced meat from sticking to your hands during the process of forming balls, your palms are moistened with water.
  • If you make very large balls, you will get meatballs without rice. Such a product will take a long time to cook and risks falling apart during heat treatment. The optimal meatball size is a large walnut.

Meatballs and steamed cutlets are considered a kind of transitional food for children between pureed complementary foods and adult food. On the one hand, gentle cooking does not subject the baby’s stomach to excessive stress. On the other hand, the consistency of the product allows the baby to quickly master the skill of chewing. Moreover, such a meat product attracts the child’s attention and arouses interest. And the taste of the dish leaves few kids indifferent.

For the meatballs, mix the minced meat with the onion (cut the onion as finely as possible). You can add zucchini (finely grated) or pumpkin. If there is a small child in the house, then it is better to choose dietary minced meat, for example, chicken.

Roll the minced meat into balls and place them on some surface. For a children's version of the soup, it is better to make the meatballs small.

Roasted vegetables give this soup a special aroma and beauty of bright colors. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater or cut into strips. Cut the onion into small cubes. Saute the vegetables over medium heat.

Add just a little oil. Cut the pepper into thin strips and place in a frying pan with other vegetables.

When the onions become translucent and the carrots soften, add the tomatoes. To peel the tomatoes, make cross-shaped cuts on them and pour boiling water over them. The skins are easy to clean.

Cut the tomatoes into cubes and fry along with the juice. You can use tomato paste (instead of tomatoes). Dilute it with a little water until it reaches the consistency of sauce. Simmer everything together for a few minutes.

Pour water into the pan and bring to a boil. Add some salt. Cut the potatoes into small pieces and add to the pan. Drop the meat balls into the boiling water one at a time. They will “seize” instantly.

Add the roast to the soup. It is better to do this over the edge of the pan so that the oil and all the juices get into the pan. Cook the soup until the potatoes are completely cooked (about 20 minutes). The meat balls are small enough that they will be ready almost instantly. When served, the finished soup will look very appetizing. The vegetables will retain their vibrant colors and the broth will remain clear.

Meatball soup for children and adults

We eat soups almost every day, we diversify the menu for children adults meatball soup.

If you have a small child in your family, you will share my opinion that it is more convenient to cook soup with meatballs for the whole family, and not just for the child separately.

How to make meatballs for soup

In children's soups up to one year old, the presence of lean meat and vegetables is important. When preparing meatballs, I use a trick. When preparing minced meat, I add vegetables to it: cabbage, carrots, onions, sometimes raw potatoes and rice. But since we will be cooking soup with meatballs and shell noodles, rice will be superfluous here. What meat to choose for baby food? When my son was still very young, he had food allergies. Therefore, in children's soups up to one year, it is better to use hypoallergenic meat: rabbit and turkey. For older children, lean pork and beef are suitable.

Composition of minced meat for children's meatballs in this recipe:

There is no need to put an egg in the minced meatballs; this will result in a cloudy broth in the soup. But you can add a soaked loaf to tenderize the meatballs. I don’t write the exact amount of ingredients (but there should be more meat than vegetables), it all depends on the volume of the cookware in which I cook.

And I often cook meatballs for future use: I roll minced meat into balls (their size can be the size of a walnut or larger) and put them in the freezer.

And then I cook different first courses: soup with meatballs and rice, potato soup with meatballs, children's vegetable soup with meatballs, soup with meatballs, cabbage and green peas, soup with meatballs and noodles, soup with meatballs and buckwheat, cabbage soup or borscht with meatballs .… Despite the simplicity of preparing meatball soup, there are many variations.

Preparation meatball soup for children and adults

Almost all versions of soups with meatballs contain potatoes; we cut them into cubes and add water to release the starch. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. For bright colors in the soup, you can add sweet pepper, cut it into cubes. As soon as the water boils, immerse the potatoes and vegetables in it. If someone likes them fried, sauté them first. But for healthy and baby food, I advise you to put the vegetables raw, without frying. If your meatballs are large, then place them after the vegetables as soon as the broth with them boils. If the meatballs are small, the size of a hazelnut, then add them 7 minutes after boiling. Cook meatball soup for children and adults for 15 minutes. If desired, you can add rice, buckwheat or pasta to the soup. For children's soup, you can add noodles in the form of Lyubopyshka shells made from soft wheat varieties.

Such pasta is very small and the child will eat it with pleasure. I even resorted to such a trick: I passed the meatball with the soup broth through a blender,

I fed my fidget, and then from a separate cup we caught shells with a spoon, continuing the meal.

But since I don’t have much time with a child, a multicooker helps me out.

Making meatball soup in a slow cooker

All ingredients are placed in the multicooker bowl at once and poured with boiling water. The lid is closed, the “quenching” mode is selected for 1 hour. Don’t worry, with careful cooking in this mode, all vegetables and pasta remain intact and do not become overcooked. In the meantime, the multicooker is cooking soup with meatballs for children and adults, we are walking!

Meatball and noodle soup is a great first course for children. Although, in fairness, it must be said that adults will not refuse a bowl of this tasty, aromatic and satisfying soup. It is prepared quite simply and, importantly, quickly. The most important thing is minced meat, but for such dishes I advise you not to buy it in the store, but to cook it.
